A world-class learning space for engineering and mathematical science students
The University of Western Australia has built a new home to transform the way our Engineering and Mathematical Sciences Schools educate students, undertake research and engage with the community.
EZONE UWA provides an unparalleled student experience, building an innovative and collaborative culture based on a STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) capability like no other in the country.
EZONE UWA is a massive investment, both financially and intellectually, in WA’s knowledge economy that will deliver outstanding graduates and innovative solutions.
Leading corporations, including BHP and Woodside Energy, have prioritised the development with substantial multimillion-dollar investments, and a number of alumni have donated generous gifts.

EZONE Student Hub offers a world-class facility for students to study, learn and broaden their university experience. EZONE houses more than 1,000 spaces for different styles of work, such as meeting rooms, open collaboration spaces, social spaces and casual areas. These spaces are prioritised for student use.

Staff are welcomed and encouraged to book during semester breaks and outside core teaching and learning hours. EZONE is a student hub and priority will be given to activities that involve students or are led by students.

Research
Research
HDR Hub
EZONE is the state-of-the-art home to the Engineering and Mathematical Sciences research clusters. The space has been designed to encourage a collaborative experience where different clusters can achieve outcomes together.
Spaces located on level 3 of EZONE Central are exclusively available to higher degree by research (HDR) students. These include the HDR Hub kitchen and informal meeting, the Sky garden with barbecue, terraces and meeting pods.

Connecting with EZONE
EZONE is focused on providing students with an unparalleled experience. As such, we encourage a strong focus on collaboration with industry and alumni. We are able to offer facilities* such as meeting rooms, event venues and connections to industry and alumni who wish to make use of the EZONE facilities for events such as conferences, information sessions, industry panels and engagement with EMS students.

Visiting EZONE

The EZONE Student Hub comprises two buildings, EZONE North and EZONE Central, and is located at the Perth campus.
- Parking

If you are a current UWA staff member or student, and hold a valid permit, view our red and yellow parking zones.
Street parking is outside the building along Fairway. For more information on UWA visitor parking, bicycle parking and accessible bays, visit UniPark.

EZONE is open between 7am and 9pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am to 5pm on weekends.
